Missed another day, but watched this conversation between Chelsea Fagan and Sophia Chang from the Just Getting Good series at The Financial Diet, and I want to try my hand at the exercise Sophia recommended.
We are supposed to list off all the things we are good at, and then introduce ourselves as the “baddest bitch in the room”.
So here’s my first, uncomfortable, unfiltered, “baddest bitch”-tones attempt.
- By 29, I had earned my MA, MS, and PhD in several subfields of Psychology.
- I am considered by some to be a thought leader in my like of work, and I back that up with my professional history.
- I am a successful people connector and developer. I help people with their goals and can see many examples of my positive influence catalyzing their success.
- I am a fantastic listener, and because I have intentionally developed skill sets and tools for listening, I can define exactly what makes me a good listener, and how that has positively impacted others.
- I am funny.
- I am pretty.
- I am someone folks feel safe relying on, and sharing sensitive or difficult moments with.
- I am a good and successful writer in the sense that I quickly amassed huge fictional works with moderately strong followings.
- I am creative.
- I am unique.
- I have great taste in lots of things: food, music, books, TV, movies, fashion, and style.
- I am a compassionate and lucky partner, daughter, sister, friend, and family member. I take care of my loved ones dearly, and I delight in being cared for so intentionally by my loved ones.
- I bake a damn good banana bread.
- I am a good singer.
- I am great at putting feelings into words.
- I love fiercely.
And I am the baddest bitch in the room!
